“Getting a little action” means you don’t need to take any fiber today.
You sit in a rocker & can’t get it started.
You look both ways before crossing a room.

Housework can’t kill you, but why take a chance?
My photographs don’t do me justice – they look just like me.
You know you’re old if they have discontinued your blood type.
Let’s hope they give us two weeks’ notice before sending us back out into the real world. I think we’ll all need the time to become ourselves again. And by “ourselves” I mean lose 10 pounds, cut our hair, and get used to not drinking at 9:00 a.m.
New monthly budget: Gas $0 Entertainment $0 Clothes $0 Groceries $2,799. Breaking News: Wearing a mask inside your home is now highly
recommended. Not so much to stop COVID-19, but to stop eating.
When this quarantine is over, let’s not tell some people.
Remembering Marlene Hruby … Marilyn Clough
Sadly, we mark the passing of Marlene Hruby on May 14, 2020. Details can be found through the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on the internet (some details below). Marlene and her husband, Ron, were such valuable members of our chapter that it’s hard to know where to begin. Along with raising two sons and two daughters, they were active in many professional, educational, and community organizations. When younger, they hiked all over central California and supported local nature conservation activities. Marlene worked for Westinghouse as an administrative assistant for many years.
After retiring, Marlene was not only the editor of our Dispatch, she also edited another organization’s newsletter, for over a decade. She was president of our chapter for two years shortly after Ron’s death, and also served on our Tours and Nominating committees, among other chapter activities.
Marlene and Ron never missed a theatrical presentation in our area. What a performance by both of them! They will be missed by many in our community.
Service Information provided by Ronda Hruby, Marlene’s Daughter … via Rick Loek
A small graveside service, due to Santa Clara County restrictions (ten attendees only), is planned for Marlene. The funeral will be at NOON on Friday, June 5, at Mission City Memorial Park in Santa Clara. Flowers may be sent to Lima Family Mortuary by the afternoon prior preferred, or by 9 a.m. Friday. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/…/lima-family-santa-cl…/2461
Marlene’s grandson, Nicholas Xydes, is investigating a live broadcast for those not able to attend in person (likely to be Facebook live) as most members of her family do use Facebook.
